Hon. Balasaheb Thackrey Memorial & Mini Stadium | Ulhasnagar

The basic design brief was to create a sports complex and a memorial for Hon. Balasaheb Thackeray while giving public access through the memorial centre. The sports complex is designed as a dynamic structure which houses the functional spaces which include the entrance area, indoor games zone and memorial centre.

The public access cuts through the dynamic structure on the lower floor, allowing the people a peek into the life of Balasaheb Thackeray and into the practice sessions of sportspersons. The other functional spaces such as the outdoor sports’ courts, the commercial shops and the recreational spaces are located to the North side of the site and facing the VTC Ground Road.
