Haj Terminal and Camp Office | Navi Mumbai

The Haj Terminal is designed to be the largest terminal for Haj pilgrims to travel for Haj Pilgrimage. The mini airport has 2 floors for proper circulation design as per the airport design guidelines for the entire luggage check-in and flight boarding process. It consists of dorms on the upper floor and a prayer hall in the direction of Haj. The design also incorporates isolation wards, large dining spaces and kitchens.

The design focuses on efficient utilisation of space and proper maneuvering using architectural spaces and design. The modern Islamic stucture’s design focuses on depicting the ethos of the Hajj Pilgrims. The geometric facade with Jali work is a feature of the Islamic architecture and Mughal architecture. It blends beautifully with the contemporary facade design in the form arabic style of letters denoting Allah.
