Township Damat

Project details

Township | Damat

The idea for the design of this huge plot was to give people an integrated township. This township design focuses on holistic development aiming to make this area the commercial and cultural capital for all needs. The integrated functions in design include residential spaces, institutional spaces, resorts, and tourist attractions such as organic farms. Organic farms function doubly by providing produce for restaurants to run. The restaurants act as stop points and recreation areas for tourists and residents in the area. The ousing complexes are inclusive of all sections of society with different kinds of residences for EWS, LIG, and MIG groups.

The overall focus is on providing all necessary functions at walkable distances to reduce vehicular movement. Community gardens are also a great addition to this development given the secluded nature of the site. Providing a mix of recreational spaces and functional spaces helps the design be self-sustainable to a great extent. The design focuses on using 60% of the land for recreational purposes and 40% for built spaces. With this, the safety and security of the inhabitants are taken care of, with no occurrence of dead zones in any of the areas. The design is entirely feasibility-focused and keeps in mind not just the requirements of the current generation but also futuristic requirements and developments.
